Between Passionate Marriage’s framework of “normal marital sadism” and Brain Talk’s anti-social empathy he changed the way I see and think about abuse and interpersonal conflict. And now I see raising levels of differentiation as a core project of Transformative Justice (TJ) because this is how one navigates anti-social empathy in oneself and others safely.

Also to be clear I use the definition of TJ as it was originally coined – distinct from RJ in that it’s goals are cultural/societal shifts to eradicate the underlying conditions that create violence.
