human brilliance and grief

I think the thing I hate most about being incarnated as a human is that we are so brilliant and capable of writing beautiful, profound things that give us this moment of illusion that we might get this thing figured out, but in the midst of grief when we are truly confronted with our own mortality and the mortality of every living being we have ever and will ever love, there is nothing at all, no word, no phrase, no inspirational bold lettered cursive meme laid over an image of a sunset that can grasp the depth of pain and terror we feel as we are facing eternity.
