No matter how interconnected we are, the bottom line will always need to be your own integrity because anything less will never be sustainable.
But- to pull this off, you need to learn to discern your integrity from your ego.
Putting your foot down and refusing to budge because it compromises who you think you are versus holding onto yourself because you couldn’t look in the mirror and respect yourself otherwise are two completely different things that many of us struggle to distinguish.
There will always be ways we can be soft and transform ourselves to be in greater connection and solidarity with others.
This is cheapened when the transformation is compulsory, comes from seeking validation or belonging, or because we fear punishment if we don’t comply.
But it’s a powerful experience of humbling. surrender, and love when it comes from recognizing an external call to be in higher alignment with ourselves.
