Boundaries are a Conflict with the Self

Boundaries are a Conflict with the Self

The deeper I dive into my understanding of boundaries, the more I’m starting to believe that boundaries are supposed to be messy.

We see the crossing of boundaries as a conflict between two people when really brushing up against our boundaries is about conflict with the self.

When a boundary is crossed we feel anger and fear because we’ve come up against the unknown.

We can choose to continue as we’ve been going or we can choose to try something different.

And truly there is no right and wrong answers, there is only the answer that contributes to your growth and sense of self.

Either way we go we are going to have to journey to the core of ourselves and our values to decide what is right for us.

Either way we will come out stronger and more aligned with our integrity.
