You can’t force someone to take responsibility for something but you can refuse to take on their responsibility for them.
Often our attempts to force others into accountability are just that: taking something on that isn’t ours.
Getting clear on what is and is not our responsibility in our relationships holds transformative, revolutionary power.
When you discard the impulse to manage things outside of your control, you have more space to see your role in a dynamic while inviting others to see theirs at the same time.
